Officers responded at about 11:45 p.m. on Friday, July 30, in Darien to the area of Glenvale Avenue and Christie Hill Road.
The person's vehicle was parked on the street in front of the teen's home, Darien Police said.
When the individual walked toward the teen, she was able to drive off without further incident, according to police.
Police said the vehicle the person drove off in was described as a white four-door Jeep Wrangler with a blacktop.
No one was injured and there was no damage to property.
Darien Police added that there is no reason to believe that the suspect had a weapon, and there was no evidence the teen was targeted.
